In My Mind I Am a Craftperson

I want to make a little box
and preserve the moments
          when our
                    when our
                              when our fingers were hooked together

I’ll include the moments when the sound is like a storm
speech thrumming and I can’t tune into your voice

small moments on their own, but stronger
          when stitched together
